This is the 4th TCC London to Paris Ride Dates: 16-20 June 2012. The ride is being organised in memory of Dave Peck
We are planning the London to Paris Memorial ride in honour of Dave next year. This is going to be a ride to celebrate the good things about Dave. He loved riding and he loved his club. We want to have a fun ride out and show him our respect when we get to the spot where his tragic accident happened. Andy, Dave’s brother, will be joining us for some of the ride.
This ride is one of the most amazing rides in the world. Riding from Capital to Capital, the things you see and the people you meet are extraordinary. Those people who have done it before understand what I mean and Dave was one of those people. Riding long distances day after day can be challenging, but this year we are arranging a backup vehicle to help with the transport of bikes and to act as a sag wagon, in case anyone has difficulty in completing all 4 days.
The departure from Twickenham is 16th June, arrive in Germainville on the 19th, where we will pay tribute to Dave, with the local community. We will return from Paris on the Eurostar on the 20th June.
Day 1 – Leave from the Club House Ride to Portsmouth 70 Miles
Day 2 – Over night to St Malo then ride to St Baudelle 85 Miles
Day 3 – St Baudelle to Verneuil-sur-Avre, 95 Miles
Day 4 – Verneuil-sur-Avre to Paris 75 miles, stopping at Germainville
Day 5 – Overnight in Paris and back home on the Eurostar
